Online Tournament Policy – MakeMyChess.com

At MakeMyChess.com, we aim to provide a fair and competitive environment for online chess tournaments. This policy outlines the rules and guidelines for participants to ensure integrity, transparency, and a smooth tournament experience.

1. Eligibility
        •       Players must register using a valid email ID and provide accurate details.
        •       Players must have a stable internet connection to avoid disconnections.
        •       Players want to sent the lichess id,DOB,name,Fide id(IF THERE),Fide rating,State and payment screenshot if payment done on UPI.

2. Fair Play and Anti-Cheating Measures
        •       No External Assistance: Players must not use chess engines, databases, or assistance from other individuals.
        •       Monitoring & Detection: Games may be monitored using anti-cheating software and fair-play detection systems.
        •       Violation Consequences: If a player is found cheating, they may face immediate disqualification, account suspension, or a permanent ban.
        •       Organizer Rights: Tournament organizers reserve the right to request webcam monitoring or screen sharing for fair play enforcement in high-level tournaments.

3. Tournament Format & Rules
        •       Time Control: The format and time control will be specified in the tournament details.
        •       Pairings & Platform: The tournament will be hosted on a designated online chess platform (e.g., Lichess, Chess.com, or a custom platform).
        •       Disconnection & Technical Issues:
        •       If a player disconnects, they will be given a limited time to reconnect. If unsuccessful, the game will be forfeited as per platform rules.
        •       MakeMyChess.com is not responsible for any disconnections, lag, or technical issues faced by players. Participants are advised to ensure a stable internet connection and functional devices before the tournament.
        •       Tie-Breaks: In case of ties, tie-break rules such as Buchholz, Sonneborn-Berger, or head-to-head results will be applied.

4. Prizes & Payouts
        •       Prize Distribution: Prizes will be awarded based on final standings and verification of fair play compliance.
        •       Payment Method: Prize money will be transferred via UPI, bank transfer, or other agreed methods within 7-10 business days after results are verified.
        •       Disqualification Impact: Players disqualified for cheating will forfeit any prizes, and the next eligible player will receive the award.

5. Dispute Resolution
        •       Any disputes regarding results, cheating allegations, or disconnections must be reported within 24 hours of tournament completion.
        •       The final decision will be made by the tournament organizers after reviewing all available evidence.

6. Changes to Policy

We reserve the right to update this policy as needed. Players will be notified of significant changes.
